ABOUT MITRA
Incepted in 2000 as a private limited company to serve the national and international communities in social sector development, MITRA (Management Innovation, Training and Research Academy) aims to provide its expert services in profit/nonprofit and entrepreneurial business arenas.
MITRA enters its 26th year with 100+ consultancy assignments delivered and a multi-disciplinary expert pool serving government agencies, UN bodies, INGOs and private sector clients.
Two flagship engagements running into 2026 — Organizational Capacity Assessment of CDS Ramechhap, and Final Evaluation of Protection, Education and Empowerment of Vulnerable Girls (SOS Bahini).
Conducted independent thematic assessment on Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and Women's Economic Empowerment for World Vision International Nepal.
Delivered three back-to-back assignments for Save the Children, FCA Nepal and others — pioneering remote evaluation, online training and hybrid programme assessment.
Conducted the Mid-Term Review of the Advancing Women's Economic Empowerment Programme (2015-2017) supported by the Embassy of Finland.
Concurrent engagements: End Line Survey/Final Evaluation of LRP (UNDP), Baseline Survey for the Integrated Project (Save the Children) and Capacity Needs Assessment of MoWCSW (UNICEF).
Delivered Final Evaluation of the MP3W project for UN Women and End-line Survey of GeMSIP for JICA/MoFALD — strengthening MITRA's gender and inclusion practice.
Started long-term engagements with UNICEF Nepal — Final Evaluation of the SZOP project and Mid-Term Review of the Ten-Year National Plan of Action for Children (2010-2013).
